“Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not, our fathers have earned and bought it for us, at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure, and their blood.” John Adams ~ A Dissertation on the Canon and Feudal Law — 1765
There is a little cemetery in the township I live in. It’s old and is the final resting place of many of the township’s founders. It is also the resting place of so many who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and fellow man.
Just a little township cemetery but so many who gave their lives. There are little and large cemeteries just like this one all across this country and aboard that are also the final resting place of so many who sacrificed all.
As you gather together with family and friends, please take a moment to honor them and their loved ones, who gave all so that we could enjoy this day with our loved ones.
