The Passing of a Patriot

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Shelli Dawdy

Shelli was one of the “founding mothers” of the Tea Party.

We met on Twitter during the organizing of the first Tea Parties, Feb. 27, 2009

We collaborated on a number of projects and Grassroots in Michigan was a sister group to Grassroots in Nebraska

Shelli had a brilliant mind and was an inventive out of the box deep critical thinker and brought moral clarity to policy.

She was also a wife and mother, home schooling her three children in a classical education.

Although her passing is a great loss not only to her family, friends but to Nebraska and our country she was a saved Christian.

I take comfort knowing she is in her “heavenly mansion”( John 14:2) in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ where He “shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
